Jammu is one of the three regions comprising the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. It consists of six districts of the state, namely Jammu District, Kathua District, Poonch District, Rajouri District, Udhampur District and Doda District. Approximately 66% of the population is Dogra. Majority of the Hindus are either Dogras or poeple who migrated from kotli, mirpur, kashmir etc. Jammu is well connected with the rest of India by rail from Jammu Tawi railway station: long-distance trains from many parts of the country serve Jammu Tawi.
